Gazell method harmonicas are currently available in three models.
The PT Gazell Model 1847 Noble, (the exact one I use) the 1847 Silver, and the Session Steel. The Noble and Session Steel are manufactured as in stock production models. The default tuning is Richter. All models are available in the following keys: Low C through Regular F. The Silver will continue to be offered until the remaining stock is depleted. After that, the Gazell method Silver will be offered as a special order.
The Gazell method means your diatonic will be half-valved with the same material I researched, suggested to Seydel, and use in my personal instruments. The reeds are shaped and gapped to my specifications at the factory in Germany to best accommodate half-valved playing. The downloadable PDF below has the note layout and a more detailed explanation about half valving.
Both the Noble and Session Steel models feature the Gazell method full rounded cover plates. The ergonomic feel and more rounded tone these covers provide, are a perfect match for half valved playing. The Silver has the half flat covers.
All Gazell method diatonics ordered through this website are checked and further adjusted by me personally for optimal performance.
In addition to Richter tuning, I also offer two alternate tunings as an upgrade option:
Gazell method ~ Paddy Richter.. #3 hole blow note is raised by 1 whole tone.
Gazell method ~ Country Tuning...#5 hole draw note is raised by 1/2 tone

Gazell method ~ 1847 Silver Features
Genuine Gazell method valves and reed setup to best accommodate half valved playing.
Stainless steel reeds deliver a clear rich tone as well as longer reed life.
Optimized flatness and extremely small tolerances between reed and reed plate.
Reed plates are made of non-corrosive German Silver. Reed plate screws, cover plates, cover plate screws and rivets are made of Stainless Steel.
Gazell method half flat cover plates completely opened wide and crimped at the back to deliver a brighter tone. Beard and lip friendly cover plates with rounded edges and no cuts at the mouthpiece.
Extremely flat, solid polymer comb with 2% foam added for a slight flex and perfect seal.
Less air-loss due to fine-cut reed plates.
