Genuine Gazell method ~ Valves

Gazell method harmonicas are available in two models.The 1847 Silver, (the one I use) and the Session Steel. Both are manufactured as in stock production models. This means no wait time to fill the order.  The default tuning is Richter. Both models are available in the following keys: Low C through Regular F.

The Gazell method means your diatonic will be half-valved with the same material I researched, suggested to Seydel, and use in my personal instruments. The reeds are shaped and gapped to my specifications at the factory in Germany to best accommodate half-valved playing.

In addition, all Gazell method diatonics ordered through this website are checked and further adjusted by me personally for optimal performance.

I prefer the Gazell method full rounded cover plates that come standard with the Session Steel for my 1847 Silver's. The ergonomic feel and more rounded tone better suit my style and genre of playing. Conversely, many folks like the Gazell method half flat cover plates that come standard on the 1847 Silver for their Session Steel's. These have more sound projection and a somewhat brighter tone. Both models now have an upgrade option so you can pick which cover plates you want. Your decision should be based on the features each cover plate offers.

In addition to Richter tuning, I also offer two alternate tunings as an upgrade option:

Gazell method ~ Paddy Richter.. #3 hole blow note is raised by 1 whole tone.
Gazell method ~ Country Tuning...#5 hole draw note is raised by 1/2 tone

Reed plates are made of non-corrosive German Silver. Reed plate screws, cover plates, cover plate screws and rivets are made of Stainless Steel.

Gazell method half flat cover plates completely opened wide and crimped at the back to deliver more volume and a brighter tone. Beard and lip friendly cover plates with rounded edges and no cuts at the mouthpiece.

Extremely flat, solid polymer comb with 2% foam added for a slight flex and perfect seal.
Less air-loss due to fine-cut reed plates.
